INVICTA MILITARY-VEHICLE PRESERVATION SOCIETY

North Kent Area

About

The North Kent Area stretches from Dartford to Canterbury and Maidstone to the coastline.

We try to support as many local shows as we can this includes school fetes, fun days & the local carnival.

Each year, in June, we hold a weekend Rally at Mustards Farm on the Isle of Sheppey. We have great fun. Friday we have a fish and chip run, Saturday includes a run out with the vehicle into Leysdown and we stop there for ice cream so that the public can have a look and donate to our chosen Charity. When we return to the farm hot tea and bread pudding is served. Saturday evening we have a barbecue with music, quizzes and plenty of fun (especially when the alcohol starts to flow) Sunday morning is a bit slow to start but things get going with a clay pigeon shoot, and for the more adventurous a microlite flight (weather  permitting) The barbecue usually goes back on for lunch before everyone heads for home.

August meeting (weather permitting) is another Barbecue at Mustards Farm, enjoying the tales of the shows attended.

Area Secretary

Matthew Beal

Hi my name is Matthew Beal, I have been involved in the imps and military vehicles since I was about 15 years old. Myself and my late father Chris Beal bought a GMC 352 set 7 as a first vehicle and between us have had many others including, an M35A2 Reo, a TRMU20 Scammell Pioneer, a Willys Jeep, a Daimler Ferret armour car and a series 3 lightweight Landrover, which myself and my 2 sons have now taken on. We have also had at our family farm our own military vehicle get together every year for about 20 years and hopefully we will be carrying this on a bit later in the year.
