Time Turn Festival OLD

St Albans BID is delivering this event again as part ofHeritage Open Days, England’s largest festival of history and culture, where every year in September, places across the country celebrate their heritage, community and history. This year’s theme is‘People Power’and we’re set to celebrate the famous faces of St Albans throughout timein a participative format to excite and engage visitors of all ages.
As a tribute to the talents of our famous residents through the decades, and the time periods they influenced, there will be historic vehicles lining the streets(that’s where you come in!), musical performances, dancers and entertainers joining in to create an unmissable day.
We would LOVE you to bring your vehicle along on the day. Last year, we had so much positive feedback from the public that they so enjoyed seeing the cars and their owners!
Details still being finalised but road closures on the day of George St and Catherine Street will start at 8am. We won’t be able to have any vehicle movement between 10.30am – 5.00pm, so will advise of entry times soon.  Presume you will want to stay with your vehicle throughout the day to be able to chat about it with the public? However, it’s not compulsory and we will have security around the streets and hope that sufficient volunteers will be around at any given time to help look out for each other’s vehicles. …
  • IMPS members are invited to show their vehicles, but will need to book in advance. Please contact Sarah at events@stalbansbid.com
