The East Kent Provincial Freemasons are holding a Provincial Garden Party at Godmersham Park. This year, in this beautiful setting, we would like to make it more memorable, by commemorating the end of ‘The Great War’, along with WW2 and Modern Day. As is the custom to Masonic events, any profit that is raised at the event will be donated to charity. In this case, the proceeds will be donated towards the Cornwallis Trust (http://cornwallisekfc.org.uk/).
Godmersham Park, during The Great War, served as a sub-station of RNAS Capel, Folkestone, to station an airship. With such an active history during the Great War, and this important anniversary, we felt that we should endeavour to educate fellow Masons and their families and believe groups, like yourselves, can help a lot in this regard.
We have contacted Living History Groups, Re-enactment Groups and we hope to include groups like yourselves that could bring vehicles from either World War. This is a private event and so is not open to the public. We do not particularly want to advertise the event as it is meant to be for Masons and their families; however you and your families are more than welcome to attend.
If you are interested or wish to know any further details, then please do not hesitate to contact us via Dean Faulkner (firstname.lastname@example.org).
