The 2018 event will be the 10th successive year of this run. It is to commemorate the first time a body of troops was transported entirely by motor transport on an operation, back in 1909. Event is open to Military Softskin vehicles and Motor Cycles (sorry no armour) in use by British Forces (regardless of their country of manufacture) from 1909 to the present day, as well as and Veteran, Vintage and Classic cars and motor cycles up to 1945.
The run is partially sponsored by the AA and leaves Sevenoaks around 10.00, travels down the A21, through Tonbridge, Pembury to Lamberhurst for a refreshment stop. Then on down the A21 to St Leonards, and along the sea front to the Stade exhibition area, near the fishing huts in Hastings where vehicles go on display.
The run is being organised in aid of Combat Stress and is supported by the AA.
