Tim Page was a combat photographer in Vietnam, and was badly wounded - to such an extent that he was pronounced dead. His photographs reflect the chances he took. His books are acclaimed worldwide. He often attends War and Peace and has written about IMPS and our annual show in Loaded magazine and The Observer.
Whilst some might say that any publicity is good publicity, IMPS is very careful to ensure that we get only good, positive publicity. The very nature of our hobby means that it is unfortunately very easy for us to be perceived in the press and by the public as gun toting Rambo types, blazing a trail of mayhem in ex military vehicles. We are particually careful not to be portrayed as war lovers or have any form of political or racial stance. As a historic vehicle club we do not express any opinons on firearms legislation.
ALL press contact at any level is handled through our Press Officer. If you are a club member who has an idea for some publicity or is approached by the media, please get in touch with IMPS Press Officer.
