Club Meeting Held on the 1st May 2008

                                     At The Plough Inn, Hildenborough

Andy Mitchell welcomed everyone to the new venue and thanked them all for their support.

 

The minutes of the last Club meeting were agreed and signed.

 

Treasurer: Current Account: £2865:53

                   Reserve Account: £5649.27

                   Liquidity Account: £51527.70

                   Bonus Account: £1000.00  

 

Memberships There are 801 members at present the drop in numbers is due to unpaid memberships. 

Reminders have been sent out.

 Jeep raffle tickets are now available if anyone would like some please contact Glyn it is important that all the  tickets are sold as the money from them goes into the IMPS account. At the moment there are only a few of us

selling them if every member bought a book they would all sell so please help.

 

Events:  All events are up to date and are listed in the Imprint and Newsletter.

 

Imprint: Quite a few articles are being sent in late if you wish them to go in the magazine you must ensure they get sent in on time the cut off date for the next magazine is 20th May. Also  it is nice to have articles and stories from members any photos that are sent in will be returned.            

 We have had a new banner made for the club promotion tent at W&P show in the new colour, we are also

having a marquee put up it will be situated opposite the fairground.

 

Normandy: Letters will be sent out to everyone that has booked before the W&P show: the letter will state the cost of taking your vehicle on the ferry and the campsite fee within £20-£30. You will not be able to change the vehicle that you have listed  once these arrangements have been finalised.

 

Weald Area: Nick welcomed everyone to the Weald area at their last meeting they had 30 members attend and one new member joined. The Biggin Hill show is getting booked; anyone that wishes to go, the booking forms are on the back of the Newsletter.

 

Sussex:  Jill said that numbers were down at the last meeting due to members going to see Dads Army show, nothing much to add.

There were some new faces at the Lavender Line.

 

Surrey:  The run to Newhaven Fort and Lunch was well received .  Contacts made with the parish council. Andy would like to let members know about the Jolly Farmers at Byers Lane. It is a three day event members to

contact Dave Roe for details .

There will hopefully be a cricket match at the present time though the pitch is water logged.

 

North Kent:  Graham reminded everyone about Mustard Farm Rally 21st-22nd June all welcome. Sunday 4th May. The Klippons Show is an all day event.

 

AOB:      Jim Baxter welcomed all members to the Plough it was a good turnout 46 members attended. The July meeting will be held 10th July this is due to the hall being booked previously.

 

Alan Ede: Len Andrews passed away his funeral was the 18thApril he will be sadly missed our thoughts go out to Lillian.
