The 2010 Show will be held in conjunction with the MVT and we want to make this a major attraction in the calendar. With this in mind, the Railway are offering free camping to all MVT members from the Friday prior to the Show to the following Monday. The MVT Catering Corps made famous at the Bukfastleigh Show will be in attendance with subsidised breakfasts and evening meals. There will be free rides on the train between the British, American and Axis camps throughout the Show.
There will be catering facilities for hot meals and refreshments all day at the central station so whatever camp you may establish yourself in, food is just a short train ride away. No rationing for uniformed personnel, or those in period costume. Period uniforms and costume are positively encouraged. So lets make this a Show to remember, one that you would want to come back to year after year.

The 2010 Military Vehicle Show is commemorating the D-Day Landings of 6th June 1944, with military vehicles of all shapes and sizes. Exhibitors will be able to display their vehicles in a special area between the American Air Museum and the Land Warfare Hall, join the cavalcade around the airfield including driving along Duxford’s historic runway, watch tank demonstrations in the arena at 3.30pm, after which there will be an opportunity for exhibitors to take their own vehicles around the arena at their own risk, ride in an FV 432 in the morning (£5 per head- a minimum height restriction applies), and visit the various militaria related trade stands located within the display area. Additionally, MAFVA will again hold their National Championships at the event plus a Military & Aviation Book Fair will take place within the American Air Museum during the day (run by the Provincial Booksellers Fair Association)

Armed Forces Day is Saturday 26 June 2010. The day is an annual opportunity for the nation to show our support for the men and women who make up the Armed Forces community, from currently serving troops to Service families and from veterans to recruits.The Weston-super-Mare Armed Forces Day event, which is part funded by the Ministry of Defence is being held on the Beach Lawns, near the Somerset Legion House and the RAFA, Flowerdown House retirement homes, Beach Road, Weston-super-Mare, Somerset BS23 4BG on Saturday and Sunday 26th and 27th June 2010.This FREE show will consist of 2 days of arena events surrounded by all three services, and various demonstrations and displays, plus support organisations and sideshows. Some of the displays already planned include a working field kitchen and shooting range set up by the cadets, static displays of military vehicles, courtesy of IMPS (Invicta Military Vehicle Preservation Society Ltd.), and a Royal Naval helicopter. Parades and exhibitions on both days by cadets, serving personnel and veterans with military bands. Saturday night the Royal British Legion are holding a ‘Vera Lynn’ era themed buffet dance in the Winter Gardens with ‘Big Band’ music provided by the Royal Air Force Association Band and Sunday morning there will be a parade of Regimental, Royal British Legion, RAF Association and Cadet Forces Standards leading into a thanksgiving service, to be held in a marquee, on the Beach Lawns. The weekend is rounded off with a Sunset concert performed by the RAFA Band and the volunteer band of RAF Cosford.

This was a very successful event 2 years ago. All types of military, and police vehicles are required, along with uniforms and equipment.
There is the parade through Hythe Town on the Saturday morning, followed by a return to the Ranges. There will be conducted tours of the Ranges, off-road course and BBQ that afternoon.
On the Sunday, the Ranges are open to the public, and vehicles/displays are required for the public to see. There will be various activities for all to see, or take part in. Camping will be available, along with freshwater, from the Friday evening to the Sundat afternoon.
